are annual golf and cycling events created to inspire participation, promote a healthy lifestyle and support a charitable cause.
We are proud to be working with the Spinal Injuries Association for the next three years to support the legacy of Sir Frank Williams by raising funds for the Frank Williams Academy (FWA).
The series will realise four key objectives:
Raise funds for SIA’s Frank Williams Academy
Drive business performance for our partners and participants through powerful networking events
Support employee engagement
Encourage an active lifestyle
A SPINAL CORD INJURY IS LIFE CHANGING….BUT IT NEEDN’T TO BE LIFE LIMITING.
Paralysed in a car accident aged 44, Sir Frank Williams went on to achieve so much and become one of the most recognized and respected people in Formula 1. Many others paralysed by a spinal cord injury, don’t get the chance to live a fulfilled life with hope, purpose and dignity.
Frank knew that and supported the Spinal Injuries Association to change the situation. The Frank Williams Academy is his legacy, aimed at transforming the lives of people with spinal cord injury through education, training, research and development. Funds raised will be used to:
Develop online learning platform for people with a spinal cord injury
Provide a specialist
clinician in all SIA
regional hubs
Embed content within nurse and physio training college curriculum
Expand training to
health and social care practitioners
Conduct and collaborate on research involving people with spinal cord injury
Leverage take up and investment from the NHS and local government
Raise awareness of the FWA, it’s achievements
and the cause
Use learning to underpin the SIA’s services and campaigns.
